About Us
Thank you for coming to our site and we hope you stop by our Etsy shop and bring our fabric into your life.

We have never had a formal class in sewing. Everything the Sew Sisters know about quilting comes from generational knowledge of the craft. We make baby quilts with fun colorful animals. We make classic designs passed down through the ages. We make King size quilts and T-shirt Quilts. Here is our story.
Based in North Carolina, learning to sew has been something passed down through our family. It all started with my great grandmother Nell who sewed beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren. She made everything from First Baptism clothes to wedding dresses.

My grandmother Ann also loved to sew but she found her creative spirit in quilting. She had 7 children and never ran out of clothes to mend. As her outlet she joined a quilting group and sewed with ladies in the neighborhood. I never missed a chance to sit in and listen to stories shared.
My mother Cathy started sewing when she was in Junior High and started with the basics. As life quickly sped up she made many Halloween costumes and dance costumes. When her mother, my grandmother Ann developed Alzheimer’s she started quilting as a means to keep her connected to things she loved.

My Aunt Peggy started after leaving her job and having kids. She loved to sew for them and started making quilts to donate to Shriners and to the Pregnancy Center to brighten up their rooms.
I started sewing when I was in high school and fell in love with the artistic nature of quilting. I turned quilting into my Sr project. My friends and I went to college and eventually got married and started having kids. My mother and I started making quilts for my friends with new babies but it quickly evolved into more.
Now myself, my aunt and my mom all quilt together. My dad has gotten involved in drawing original patterns.
